I was there with CHG when her dog Watson was put to rest. Her heart was broken and still is. All of you who have posted and reached out to her have shown so much understanding and love. It is truly worth it.
I got to meet and play with him only a few times but I'm here to tell you he was indeed an amazing friend. He accepted me as part of his family and I didn't even have to offer him a treat. I think he knew I was with CHG so that made me an okay human to love.
I thought I was going to be there to comfort CHG and her brother but that didn't play out as I expected. One step into that room and tears filled my eyes. That dog's love was imbedded into my heart too.
I hold CHG as often as I can only hoping that it helps.
Thank you all for being part of our lives. You do make it a better place.

We have a quaint little town called Sugatuck. Gay as a three dollar bill. Some call in Suckanut. Many of the B&B's and hotels names end with the word Wood.

Anyone wanna place a bet on what will happen to me when I have to go to the Kingdom Hall this Saturday??
by Coffee House Girl inwell since there is no "betting" (as it reeks of gambling) in jdub land, lets place a friendly wager on what will happen to me when i go to my father's "memorial" service at the kingdome hall this saturday..... to give you newbies background info: i am neither df'd or da'd- i left 2 years ago with no explanation.
i have been hounded by elders in my cong because they have suspicions that i am living with a man, but they have no proof (well, no proof in jdub land- you know...two witness rule).
after many attempts to get me to meet with them- i finally sent the elders a "cease & desist" letter after one of them spied in my miniblinds to see me eating breakfast with someone (they couldn't identify who).

So I won't be going to the service on Saturday with CHG but when she returns home we'll share those 's and I'll listen to her days events. I just bottled 5gal of an Irish Red brewed a few weeks ago, maybe we'll try one out.
I put some time into making the flyer and I to am a little down hearted about the change.
I would dread option "b", fear "c" and would love to watch "a" happen. I'm an outsider with a sick sense of humor.
I will personally love bomb CHG when she comes home and it won't be to get her reinstated .
Thank you all for your help and involvment with this weekends wager. I'm sure CHG will tell us all wht happened.

My dad wont make it too much longer, advise/experiences needed
by Coffee House Girl inhello all at jwn,.
so my mom called to tell me that my dad wont be able to come back home, he has been on kidney dialysis (along with having congestive heart failure and diabetes and dimentia...) but now he is breaking down and will have to be admitted to a hospice center for the remainder of his time left (without dialysis wont be two weeks).
most of you know my situation, faded (not dfd or dad) but most of my family treats me like i am disfellowshipped except my mom and she keeps getting warnings from elders to cut off dealings with me- my dad is inactive but as head of the household he demands that i be able to visit and take care of mom and dad (so my mom must be submissive to his wishes).

Thank you all so much for your kind words of understanding and support for CHG. I have met her dad and he liked me and is happy that CHG is happy too.
It is very hard to not be there with CHG but I completely understand why me being there wouldn't be a good thing.
I've been through three family deaths of my own. My mom, dad and my daughter. The best thig I can do is comfort and engourage here at the home front. CHG will need to be there for her mom.
I blabbed on for a bit last night about my experiences and how there isn't a guidline or user manual to help answer all the questions. For those of us that have gone through it know the stresses and overwheming feeling of emptiness that will happen. That's where we all come in and hold her and encourage her. I love her so much and will do all I can to be there for her through this time.
Thank you all again for being here for us.
yours,

The movies, walk and beer with CHG were great. The rest of the evening was simply amazing. All that and not a dub in sight. I love the freedom!!

So far it's been pretty darn good. I published my first book!!! I'm am excited to wed CHG in the fall. My monthly online news paper needs a kick into high gear. I'm looking for stories if you have one. www.thecarrotonline.org is the site. The last issue should trigger something in most of you.
Starting to work out a bit more. Getting ready to hike and climb in Sedona AZ soon. My work is simple and not to much stress.
I'm happy!!

Help: Re: Letter to elders NOT to disfellowship otherwise legal action will be taken
by LouBelle inhello there everyone.
i remember reading a while back about someone on here ( i think) that wrote a letter to the body of elders & headoffice that they should not take any action to disfellowship them as they would be distancing them from friends and relatives and would proceed to take legal action if the body of elders went ahead.. if anyone has that link or can point me in the right direction i'd appreciate that..

mamalove,
They admitted to looking in your windows?!!!
The only way to see the detail they described to CHG's mom is if they were parked and looking. Yup, looks like they were peeking.
The letter sent named the elder who would be brought in for questioning. So all the local authorities now know who he is and what
he's involved with. The legal advice was to send a letter with the words "cease and desist" in it. It also describes what cival action will be taken if anything like it happens again. So far all's quiet on the Eastern front. (that window faces east)
